Pre-Market is an opportunity for select manufacturers and major buyers to meet ahead of the twice-yearly High Point Market wholesale furniture trade show to preview products and secure early deals.
The furniture industry has been in a persistent sales slump, but 23 manufacturers and 135 buyers from 63 major retailers took part in the Pre-Market on March 23 and 24.
The numbers were positive, said Market Authority President Brian Casey, but the real value of the event was in the interactions that took place.
“At a time when the stakes have never been higher for home furnishings companies, quality, face-to-face interaction with key partners is more essential than ever,” Casey said.
The spring High Point Market will take place April 25-30.
